Step One

After contact, you and Lala will arrange a consultation visit. This is a time for her to come look at the house, the items inside, and any additional unique pieces that need new homes. We will then discuss timing, our estimated time to prepare for the sale, and what we'll do with any remaining items.

Preparation

Preparing for an estate sale takes some time. Successful sales are built on great preparation. Depending on the size and type of sale you need, we will need anywhere from a few days to several weeks to prepare. These hours are part of our final fee collected after your fantastic sale. If you would like to cut down on our total expense, you can certainly get involved! The more you do, the less we have to, but we are happy to do it all! Preparation for the sale includes:

  • Sorting and deciding what to sell

  • Grouping items into categories

  • Displaying selected items on tables

  • Taking photographs of certain items (for listing)

  • Pricing

  • Marketing – posting in multiple outlets

  • Estate Sale signage – post signs around neighborhood

 

For “clean-out” areas (like cluttered garages, basements), expect more preparation time.

What's included

​For the sale, we provide:

  • Photos and marketing

  • Some tables

  • Price stickers

  • Estate sale signage

  • Sale day set-ups, as needed.

  • Management of the sale

Sale date(s)

We market all of our sales in multiple outlets: on EstateSales.net, our Facebook page, our website and direct text messaging to our regular and eager customers. We cannot guarantee a level of attendance or return, but we do our best to maximize traffic and profits for you. We will give you options for where your remaining items can be taken or picked up by a donation service.

Payment

We charge a straight forward and affordable hourly rate for our time, to make the whole process easier for you. Your total revenue from the sale will be the sale proceeds less our commission and team's total time preparing for, managing, and cleaning up from the sale. We will issue you a net check 7-10 after the event.

She provided me with a detailed listing of sales, less her commissions and quickly venmoed me the funds. It was a smooth process from start to finish.
